Backstory

A US telecom giant faced a pressing deadline to upgrade the networks of approximately 600 multi-dwelling unit (MDU) customers in order to adhere to a new security enhancement requirement. They urgently needed to reconfigure nationwide VLANs for MDU customers, create a new network, conduct crucial tests, and ensure existing networks functioned seamlessly. This entailed identifying MDU customers by PPKs instead of MAC addresses. With a tight deadline looming, they sought help managing complex MDUs within budget and timeframe.

Solution

TSG assembled a team of network engineers to build an enhanced PPK network while conducting simultaneous testing without disrupting the existing network. Virtually addressing the client’s 600 MDUs, TSG executed a seamless transition after testing, dismantling the old network without any service interruptions for the customers.
