Backstory

Enterprise data center consolidation during an acquisition is critical to the success of a merger. In order to move assets from one data center environment to another, it is important to inventory the assessment of data, understand application dependencies, and develop a migration plan. A large multinational technology company undergoing a strategic acquisition sought a partner to manage their data center and system administration migration, as it looked to consolidate operations. In addition, they needed a partner that could seamlessly participate in their migration planning, capacity planning, and deployment processes.

Solution

TSG partnered with the client to provide full-service data center migration services, managing and performing the project in a six-month timeframe. During this time, TSG handled Linux and Windows administration, drawing upon a broad knowledge base of network configuration, virtualization, and cloud computing.
